About Zoë Attwood


Zoë Attwood is a British artist whose paintings bring together flowers, fashion and the natural world. Inspired by seasonal blooms, fashion and the changing light and colours of nature, her work combines delicate details with expressive colour and pattern. She studied at Central Saint Martins and Kingston University.

Zoë works from her home studio in Suffolk, overlooking a beautiful riverside garden. Swans glide past, kingfishers flash across the water and occasional otters appear along the riverbank. The changing seasons, flowers and wildlife provide a constant source of inspiration for her paintings. 

Visits to Columbia Road Flower Market, the V&A, and the archives at London College of Fashion fill Zoë's sketchbooks with inspiration. Her paintings feature elegant fashion figures and floral still lifes with treasured antique jugs and tea cups.

Working primarily in gouache, acrylic and oil, Zoë creates original paintings, vintage fashion portraits and floral still lifes. She is also exploring screen mono painting at Gainsborough House Printworkshop, experimenting with colour and painterly textures, Her work is available as original paintings, limited-edition giclée prints, and illustrated greetings cards. 

Butterfly Conservation is a cause especially close to Zoë’s heart, with even her daughters named after butterflies. She proudly supports the charity and its important work protecting butterflies, moths and their habitats.

Professional Highlights

Her work has been exhibited across the UK in galleries including Coningsby Gallery, Jessica Muir Gallery, The Gallery Cavendish, Homefront Interiors (Bath), Gainsborough House Gallery, Pam Schomberg Gallery, and more. Zoë's paintings are held in private collections, and she has contributed illustrations for Camden Cards and editorial work with Country Living Magazine.
